Sarail Upazila

Sarail Upazila is an Upazila belongs to Brahmanbaria District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is located at 24.0583° North and 91.1250° East. It is bounded by Nasirnagar on the north, Brahmanbaria Sadar on the south, Brahmanbaria Sadar and Nasirnagar on the east, Bhairab and Bajitpur on the west. “Sharaikhana (সরাইখানা)” means temporary living place. And french word “Il (ঈল)” means protester friend. “Sarail” derived from this two words which means living place of protester friend. The place where protester bodyguard of Fakhruddin Bahram Khan temporarily established a capital to prepare for war was named as “Sarail”.
