Lakshmipur Sadar is an Upazila under Lakshmipur District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is located at 22.9500°N 90.8250°E. It is bounded by Raipur, Ramganj and Chatkhil on the north, Begumganj on the east, Daulatkhan, Ramgati and Noakhali sadar on the south, Raipur, Mehendiganj and Bhola sadar on the west. Lakshmipur thana was established under Noakhali district in 1860 and was converted into an upazila in 1983. As per history, Lakshmipur was named after a famous person Lakshmi Narayan, who was from King Gour Kishore Roy’s family tree.
