Laksam Upazila
Laksam Upazila is an Upazila of Comilla District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is located at 23°14.8′ North 91°7.7′ East. It is bounded by Comilla Sadar and Barura on the north, Chatkhil, Begumganj and Senbagh on the south, Nangalkot and Chauddagram on the east, Barura and Shahrasti on the west. There are several opinion regarding naming of Laksam. Historians guess that there were thousands of Shams used to live in this area and Lamsam was named after this event. Another group says that Laksam was named due to domination of rich people in this area.
