Kasba Upazila

Kasba is an Upazila belongs to Brahmanbaria District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is located at 23.7333° North 91.1667° East. It is bounded by Brahmanbaria Sadar, Nabinagar, and Akhaura on the north, Brahmanpara on the south, Tripura on the east, Nabinagar, Muradnagar and Brahmanpara on the west. Kasba is french word. During 1338, Alauddin Hossain Shah built “Kailaghor Durgo (কৈলাঘর দূর্গ)”. Beside this, there was a civilization which gradually turned into “Kasba”. At present, there is still the lost signs of “Kailaghor Durgo” western side of rail station. Summer, Rainy, and Cold are major three seasons in Kasba. Maximum temperature of 30° Celsius recorded in May and minimum temperature of 18° Celsius was found in cold season.
