Chandanaish Upazila
Chandanaish Upazila is an Upazila of Chittagong District in the Division of Chittagong. It is located at 22.2111° North 92.0417° East. It is bounded by Patiya and Rangunia on the north, Satkania on the south, Bandarban Sadar and Satkania on the east, and Anwara on the west. Chandanaish was a part of Patiya upazila once upon a time. In 1976, Chandanaish was separated from Patiya and established as Chandanaish thana. Later on, in 1983, it became in existence as Chandanaish upazila. There is a myth that “Chandanaish” was named after chandan wood.
