Begumganj Upazila belongs to Noakhali District in Chittagong Division of Bangladesh. It is located at 22.9500°N 91.1000°E. It is bounded by Laksham on the north, Noakhali sadar on the south, Senbagh on the east, Lakshmipur sadar and Chatkhil on the west. As per history, Mughal Subedar Saista Khan visited Begumganj area with his wife (Begum) and Begumganj was named after the Begum of the Subedar.
