Akhaura Upazila

Akhaura is an Upazila belongs to Brahmanbaria District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is located at 23.8833° North 91.2166° East. It is bounded by Brahmanbaria Sadar on the north, Kasba on the south, Tripura on the east and Brahmanbaria Sadar on the west. This area was part of Tripura during unsegregated India. The ancient name of Akhaura was “Akhra” and eventually it became “Akhaura” over time.
